Privacy

Passage Finder runs on your device. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and nothing you search for or save is sent to us.

Your searches

The words you type are matched against the Bible on your device and are never sent to a server. The address bar shows your search so you can bookmark or share it. If you open such a link, your browser asks our host, Cloudflare, for the page at that address, as it does for any link. The app doesn’t record it.

Saved passages and notes

Saved passages and notes stay in this browser, on this device. They are not uploaded anywhere. A link you share holds only the collection’s name and its passage references, never your notes. If you clear this browser’s site data they are removed, so use Back up on the Saved passages page to keep a copy in a file. Your settings (theme, text size, translation) are kept in the browser in the same way.

What is downloaded

The first time you open the app it downloads the search model and the Bible text, about 46 MB, and keeps them on your device. After that the app works offline, and the same files are not downloaded again unless a new version of the app comes out.

What we don’t collect

No accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no cookies. We don’t know who uses the app or what they search for.
